We're looking for a
Systems Engineer
with a customer-first mindset and deep expertise in
Linux, automation, and cloud infrastructure
. This is a
client-facing role
working alongside senior engineers, architects, and technology leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Administer and maintain
    Linux-based servers
    ,
    cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
    , and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Oversee system capacity planning, performance monitoring, and the application of critical updates.
  • Support and optimize
    virtualization environments
    (KVM/Libvirt, VMware, Hyper-V) and
    containerized applications
    (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Manage
    DNS
    and other mission-critical network services.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues, providing guidance to junior engineers and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Lead
    customer-facing support efforts
    , delivering expert assistance on Linux, cloud, and automation-related matters.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance
    automation scripts
    using tools such as
    Ansible, Puppet, Python, Bash, and PowerShell
    .
  • Advise clients on
    infrastructure optimization, performance, and security best practices
    .
  • Ensure compliance with
    HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR
    , and implement robust security measures (firewalls, encryption, access controls).
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for systems, configurations, and automation processes.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years
    of experience managing and supporting Linux servers and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Expertise in
    virtualization technologies
    (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Xen) and
    container platforms
    (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong
    scripting skills
    (Bash, Python, Perl) and experience with configuration management tools (
    Ansible, Puppet, Chef
    ).
  • Familiarity with
    monitoring and logging tools
    (Icinga, Nagios, Prometheus) and strong understanding of
    network fundamentals
    (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a
    fast-paced, service-oriented environment
    .

Additional Details

  • Schedule:
    Rotating on-call schedule; occasional after-hours maintenance and emergency response.
  • Travel:
    Up to 10–20% for customer meetings and onsite troubleshooting (within North America).
  • Environment:
    24/7/365 operations supporting critical infrastructure.
