Estate Planning Paralegal

LHH is partnering with a distinguished Charlotte law firm to hire an
Estate & Wealth Planning Paralegal
. This position supports attorneys with estate administration matters, complex tax return preparation, and ongoing client projects within a sophisticated trusts and estates practice.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide range of documents, including estate and gift tax returns, probate filings, accountings, and estate planning documents.
- Organize, proof, and revise materials related to trust and estate administration.
- Assist attorneys with the progression of estate matters, ensuring deadlines and filing requirements are met.
- Participate in and help coordinate client meetings, gathering information and providing follow-up as needed.
- Provide analytical support by reviewing information, summarizing documentation, and contributing to planning strategies.
- Prepare and file required court documents and related estate paperwork.
- Maintain consistent in-office attendance to collaborate effectively with attorneys and clients.
- Perform additional administrative or project-based tasks as needed.
Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Previous hands-on experience in estate administration is
essential
, including the preparation of complex federal estate and gift tax returns for high-net-worth clients. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple active matters independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of estate planning, probate processes, and related legal concepts.
