Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Spanish Speaking Associate Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services to individuals, families, and groups, focusing on a variety of issues including trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. This role requires a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for clients while utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Must have an associate license in California.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on various therapeutic modalities including art therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective case management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
- Engage in crisis management and behavior management strategies to support clients in distress.
- Offer specialized support for children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to the field of mental health.
Skills
The successful candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:
- Psychotherapy techniques (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy)
- Provide Therapy in Spanish
- Experience with child & family counseling
- Crisis intervention strategies
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10)
- Telehealth experience
- Understanding of behavioral health principles
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities
- Familiarity with addiction counseling and PTSD care
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and manage cases effectively
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. A background in social work or clinical counseling is preferred.
