Senior Systems Administrator – Infrastructure and Security Operations (ISO)
is responsible for providing support in maintaining and supporting the Data Center Infrastructure hosting the EnterpriseRx Pharmacy Management application. This position will support a data center infrastructure which consists of Linux based systems in physical and virtualized configurations in a multi-tier approach (Web, Application, Database, and Storage) Ability to administrate and upgrade Oracle database, SAN storage and replications, fiber channel switch fabric. The position requires understanding and application of advanced cyber security standards for *unix based operating systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
Senior level administration across the Enterprise Systems Infrastructure:

• Ability to install, administrate and support LINUX based Servers.
• Knowledge of supporting Oracle RAC configuration.
• SAN and NAS storage administration
• System Monitoring – provide regular system monitoring, creation of system alerts and provide risk avoidance based on system performance.
• Support virtualization infrastructure (KVM)
• Administration of operational and security Data Center tools - Splunk

Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Critical Skills

• Physically lifting and handling server, storage, and networking hardware (building, installation, etc)
• 4+ years' experience in systems programming
• 7+years of Data Center System Support
• 5+ years Linux OS experience
• 5+ years Storage and virtualization infrastructure
• Experience working in Unix, OEL or RHEL in a systems administration capacity
• Experience with Perl, UNIX Shell (Korn, Bourne, Bash, etc.) programming
• Technical Troubleshooting and optimization skills across all infrastructure tiers
• Experienced IP networking skills (concepts like WCCP and VRF a plus)
• Advanced understanding of Linux and Data Center technologies
• Knowledge of Dell Compellent Storage, NetApp storage, KVM hypervisor, and Brocade Switches

Additional Knowledge & Skills

• Experience in monitoring and event management – Splunk knowledge plus
• Experience with application delivery controllers and security platforms like F5 is an advantage
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry is an advantage
• Familiarity with healthcare, privacy, and financial compliance regulations would be an advantage
• Knowledge of ITIL service methodology would be an advantage
• Ability to support after hours change events, installations, and customer impacting issues
• Ability to set up specific network traffic captures, read that output, and find low level issues
• Experience in working with cloud-based solutions would be an advantage

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position
$85,400 - $142,400
