The Opportunity:
The Product Manager is responsible for new product development, product line growth and the day-to-day management of initiatives within the product line. The Product Manager is directly responsible for the financial performance of the product line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Define and articulate product vision and strategy.
• Create, maintain and communicate product roadmaps
• Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Manage product line and individual product P&L.
• Establish, monitor and report on product performance to the organization.
• Create and present business cases for new products, initiatives, and features.
• Serve as the voice of the merchant to ensure the development of market driven products.
• Define and articulate product and business requirements
• Partner with product owners to create user stories
• Create, manage and support projects for new product development and product improvements/enhancements.
• Develop and implement go-to-market plans in coordination with product marketing from product positioning and pricing to support and distribution.
• SME for internal and external product communication.
• Commercialization of new products, enhancements and features.
• Conduct competitive research to determine new market opportunities and positioning strategies.
• Develop and recommend build, buy or partner strategies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, information technology or related area.
• Knowledge and experience in the card brand /payment processing industry preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in product management.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI, data analysis AI) to inform product strategy, accelerate market research, or streamline requirements documentation is a strong plus.
• Pragmatic Marketing Certification strongly preferred.
• Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile development environments.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects with limited management oversight, including timelines, tasks, teams, group dynamics, etc.
• Ability to contribute effectively within a fast paced, fluid environment.
• Strong organizational, project management, presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to effectively manage multiple moderate-sized projects and priorities at the same time.
• Willingness to do what it takes to ensure the team accomplishes its goals.
• Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
