BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 18 years old or more
  • We welcome candidates from all backgrounds
  • Access to a smartphone or PC – we use an app for client updates, clocking in/out, messaging capabilities, view online schedule.
  • Ability to carry out directions, takes initiative, verbally communicate with clients and staff.
  • Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.

    - Proof of state issued driver's license/state ID and valid auto insurance
  • Physical requirements (able to lift 25 lbs)

    - Pass onsite drug screen

    - Clear background check

FirstLight Home Care is a leading provider of non-medical home care services, helping individuals achieve the quality of life they deserve. We are a lifeline and peace of mind not only for seniors, but for people recovering from illness, injury or surgery; adults with disabilities; new and busy mothers; veterans; and anyone over the age of 18 who needs extra assistance.

Here at FirstLight Home Care we provide a home like atmosphere to complete orientation/training with out nurse. We conduct quarterly meetings to provide our caregivers with education and up to date information We take pride in our mentor program and check in not only with our clients but also our caregivers along service.

Personal Care Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Bathing assistance and hygiene

  • Walking and mobility assistance

  • Transfer and posture positioning

  • Continence and toileting care

  • Oral hygiene

  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous caregiving experience (preferred but not required)

  • A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others

  • A commitment to being present and providing quality care

  • Empathy, patience, kindness and respect

  • Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written

  • Ability to effectively manage the demands of the job
