Collateral Management Business Analyst

We're seeking a Business Analyst to deliver analysis and technical support for collateral management systems, driving strong risk management, collateral optimization, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will understand Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM), be familiar with Broadridge BPS/IMPACT, and possess product knowledge across fixed income, equities, repos, tri-party agreements, derivatives, and securities lending.

Description

• Manage and document end-to-end collateral processes- including valuation, margin calls, substitutions, and tri-party workflows- to ensure accurate risk mitigation and operational control.
• Monitor collateral exposure through mark-to-market checks, threshold tracking, and automated alerts, escalating issues when values or coverage fall short.
• Provide hands-on technical and system support for collateral platforms (including TLM), resolving data issues, trade discrepancies, and process breaks in coordination with IT and operations.
• Gather requirements, write clear business specifications, and support system enhancements that improve collateral efficiency, automation, and integration across trading, risk, and operations teams.

Profile

• Strong knowledge of collateral management, counterparty risk, margining, valuation (MTM), and collateral optimization across products such as fixed income, equities, repos, tri-party, derivatives, and securities lending.
• Hands-on experience with collateral and trade lifecycle systems (e.g., SmartStream TLM, Broadridge BPS/IMPACT, Calypso, Murex) as well as market/reference data tools, with the ability to analyze complex workflows and operational processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, Basel III, UMR), tri-party arrangements, repo funding strategies, and collateral sources including customer assets and trading inventory.
• Strong analytical and technical skills, including SQL proficiency, documentation and requirements gathering for system enhancements, and experience supporting automation, transformation, or greenfield collateral platform initiatives.
