This role sits within the Inside Sales function at RS, a key part of our commercial organization that drives customer engagement, revenue growth, and operational excellence. The Inside Sales team is responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering value through solution-based selling and expert support.

About The Role
Role Purpose
The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of inside sales representative to achieve and exceed sales and profitability goals. This role drives team efficiency ensures adherence to company standards, and fosters the development of a high-performing, professional sales force.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, and coach a team of Inside Sales Representatives to exceed sales goals.
  • Develop business plans and deliver accurate forecasts and performance insights.
  • Collaborate with RS teams and supplier partners to support customer needs.
  • Drive proactive sales through phone and video using solution-based selling.
  • Ensure consistent CRM usage for tracking activities and opportunities.
  • Support team training and personally maintain expert product knowledge.
  • Use data to identify high-impact sales activities and improve results.
  • Promote a values-driven team culture aligned with RS strategy.
  • Enforce company policies and ethical standards.

The Inside Sales Manager reports to the Director of Inside Sales and is responsible for leading a team that includes:

  • Inside Sales Supervisor (ISS) – supports day-to-day operations and coaching.
  • Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) – responsible for direct customer engagement and sales execution.

Candidate Requirements
Essential:

  • Proven experience in planning and executing inside sales strategies
  • Demonstrated success in customer relationship management
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of managing and directing inside sales teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and video conferencing platforms
  • Ability to interpret and prepare sales reports using intermediate-level mathematical calculations
