WHO YOU ARE
You have experience with small business finance—preferably in a home service, trades, or seasonal business
You're proficient in QuickBooks, spreadsheets, and financial reporting tools
You understand job costing, labor burden, and seasonal budgeting
You love reconciling accounts, organizing systems, and simplifying reports
You're proactive, reliable, and thrive on bringing clarity to leadership
You're comfortable managing weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles without hand-holding
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Day-to-Day Financials
Maintain books in QuickBooks or Xero: income, expenses, bank and credit card reconciliations
Track accounts receivable, payable, and contractor/vendor payments
Record payroll expenses and oversee labor cost reporting (in coordination with HR/payroll provider)
Reporting & Analysis
Provide weekly and monthly financial reports to ownership
Track key metrics: job costing, margin by service line, labor % of revenue, etc.
Monitor cash flow and alert leadership to risks or opportunities
Systems & Support
Help clean up and document financial SOPs
Organize digital records, receipts, and bank statements
Coordinate with outside CPA, bookkeeper, or tax preparer as needed
Forecasting & Budgeting
Assist with annual budgeting and seasonal projections
Create simple forecasts for revenue, labor, and expense targets
Partner with leadership to analyze performance vs plan
