Job Description
McGuireWoods is seeking an Associate to support its Employee Benefits practice in Charlotte.

McGuireWoods' employee benefits and executive compensation services span the spectrum of issues relating to day-to-day compliance, operations and administration of all manner of retirement, health and welfare and executive compensation-related arrangements, including those intersecting M&A, private equity, fund formation, financing transactions and other critical areas of the law. Representing industry leaders, Fortune 100 companies, privately held companies and start-ups, our clients include public companies, businesses and organizations of all sizes. The team's experience ranges from advising banks, insurers, third-party administrators, and other benefit plan service providers to counseling tax-exempt organizations, including hospitals, trade associations and educational institutions.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a top 200 law firm setting.
  • The ideal candidate has experience in benefits and executive compensation.
  • Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with client, business, and legal teams.
  • Must have a strong academic record, excellent writing, and oral communication skills.
  • North Carolina Bar is required or willingness to obtain North Carolina license.
