JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate posting of all customer payments to both the customer's account and to our general ledger system. The position is in constant contact with the credit and collections team and field sales representatives as appropriate, to ensure that the customers' account is always reflected accurately within our Accounts Receivable system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for daily posting of checks, credit card and wire payments to customers account (75%)
  • Works with the credit and collections team and field sales representatives to make any necessary adjustments to customer accounts, as needed (10%)
  • Process Credit and Re-bills to customer accounts, as needed (10%)
  • Key point of contact and subject matter expert with regards to our credit card processing software (CenPos) (5%)

WORK EXPERIENCE: One to two years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED EDUCATION: One year certificate from college or technical school

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledgeable of company policies, procedures, practices, products and services
  • Excellent customer service skills, communicating by voice and by written communication
  • Ability to multitask and to solve problems that include multiple variables
  • Proven time management and problem solving skills
  • Will work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving the issue and/or making a recommendation for resolution.
  • Works under minimal supervision and needs little to no instruction to complete daily tasks
  • Ability to calculate discounts, proportions, and percentages
  • Proficient typing skills and basic familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with enterprise system, AS400 preferred

TRAVEL / WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel – typically not required
  • Position typically works in an office environment whether on site or remote where environmental conditions are stable
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit for extended periods of time; talk and hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch and lift up to 15 pounds
