Our high-integrity practice is seeking an outstanding Dermatology Medical Assistant who will provide exceptional care to our patients. This position requires someone who is responsible and reliable, with pre-med and pre-nursing candidates highly preferred. Candidates should be able to adapt to changing situations in a calm and professional manner. The position also requires excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills, and the applicant must demonstrate an ability to multi-task while remaining detail-oriented.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting with procedures and recording medical history
  • Greet and room patients as they arrive at the clinic
  • Perform various back office duties: sterilize equipment, maintain a detailed pathology logbook, answer patient calls, stock products and supplies, and communicate with vendors and insurance companies, among other tasks
  • Manage medication refills
  • Handle prior authorizations and work with other medical offices as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in delivering outstanding patient care
  • Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Capable of adapting to challenging situations; willingness to learn
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach
  • Preferred: pre-med, pre-nursing, or prior experience in a medical field
