  • Facility: Morton Plant Hospital - PATHOLOGY
  • Location: Clearwater, FL
  • Status: FT
  • Exempt: No
  • Shift Hours: 7:00PM - 3:30AM
  • Weekend Work: Occasional
  • On Call: No

Responsibilities:

The Lab Medical Assistant IV is responsible for:

  • Assists the technical staff within the technical departments
  • Handles any and all manual pretesting procedures including waived testing as required
  • Works in a team environment
  • Demonstrate organizational, time management, analytical, delegation, written, and verbal skills
  • Use computer skills appropriate to position
  • Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards appropriate to position
  • Identifies problems and implements and/or recommends solutions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure:

  • Required – Driver's License (if applicable)
  • Required – ASCP / SCYM (if applicable)
  • Required – AMT Medical Technologists (if applicable)
  • Required – ASPT Phlebotomy Technicians (if applicable)

Education:

  • Required – High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred – Technical Science
  • Preferred – Associate's

Experience:

  • Required – 1 year in related field
  • Preferred – 2 years in related field
