Facility Morton Plant Hospital - PATHOLOGY Location Clearwater, FL Status Full Time Exempt No Shift Hours 8:30AM - 5:00PM Weekend Work Occasional On Call No Responsibilities The Lab Medical Assistant III is responsible for: Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens Referring specimens to outside laboratories Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests Performance of phlebotomy procedures Performs other duties as assigned Credentials Driver's License in the State of Florida Required ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians) Or ASCP Or AMT (Medical Technologists) Or Paramedic Or EMT (Emergency) Or Medical Technologist Or Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain Or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida Or RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida Education Required High School or equivalent Experience 6 months in lab support and 6 months BayCare related - Required 1 year of lab support - Preferred BayCare Offers Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) Paid Time Off Tuition Assistance 401K Match and additional yearly contribution Annual performance appraisals and team award bonus Family resources and wellness opportunities Community perks and discounts Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled
