Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Customer Data Platform SME/engineer to manage and optimize our customer data environment, ensuring it supports strategic marketing, personalization, and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP Customer Data Platform, along with strong skills in data modeling, validation, enrichment, and transformation. This role will partner closely with marketing, analytics, and technology teams to design scalable data structures, ensure high data quality, and enable impactful customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- SAP CDP Configuration & Management – Configure, maintain, and optimize SAP Customer Data Platform to meet evolving business needs.
- Data Modeling – Design and implement robust data models to support customer segmentation, personalization, and advanced analytics.
- Data Validation & Quality – Establish validation rules and automated checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Data Enrichment – Integrate external and internal data sources to enhance customer profiles and attributes.
- Data Transformation – Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to prepare data for downstream use cases.
- Integration Management – Collaborate with development and integration teams to connect SAP CDP with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and transactional systems.
- Documentation & Governance – Maintain clear documentation of data structures, transformations, and processes in compliance with governance and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with business stakeholders to translate marketing and analytics needs into technical data solutions.
- Performance Optimization – Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to ensure scalability and reliability.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Customer Data Platform (or similar CDP solutions with a strong willingness to ramp quickly on SAP CDP).
- Proficiency in data modeling concepts (relational, dimensional, entity-relationship).
- Strong understanding of data quality best practices and validation frameworks.
- Experience in data enrichment using APIs, 3rd-party providers, or internal data sources.
- Solid experience with data transformation tools and query languages (SQL, Python, or similar).
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, integration patterns, and APIs.
- Familiarity with customer data governance and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in MarTech ecosystems and integrations with CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
- Knowledge of identity resolution and customer profile unification processes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- SAP CDP certified
