Job Description

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operations in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Officer supporting a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your keen attention to detail and strong communication skills will foster a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a secure environment for all onsite. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the manufacturing and industrial location.Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and coordinate responses to incidents across the facility.Maintain accurate logs and records of all calls, incidents, and dispatch activities.Communicate clearly and professionally with on-site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as required.Assist in managing access control by tracking entry and exit of personnel and vehicles as directed by site procedures.Support regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter by dispatching personnel and monitoring their status.Remain alert to unusual activities or incidents and report these promptly according to established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.A college degree is required.Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.Be at least 21 years of age.CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
