As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control Driver in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and conduct routine security-related patrols to help to deter incidents while remaining highly visible. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication, serving as a trusted presence for visitors and employees alike. Driving responsibilities are part of this post. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by assisting personnel and visitors with access control procedures, following all site-specific policies and protocols.
• Monitor and authorize entry and exit of employees, visitors, and contractors at designated access points within the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for any unusual activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Work collaboratively with on-site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns.
• Participate in emergency response activities as required, following established protocols for the manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Maintain a professional presence and uphold Allied Universal standards while performing all assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of five years of security-related experience is required.
• Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or a college degree is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
