Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for food, precision, and teamwork and thrives in a fast-paced environment where quality and consistency come first. You'll work closely with the head chef and crew to execute our menu with the same attention to detail and energy that built Da Bubs' reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and plating standards.
  • Handle prep work (chopping, portioning, cleaning wings, etc.) with care and consistency.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with all food safety regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and work collaboratively to keep service running smoothly.
  • Help monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to management.

Qualifications

  • Prior kitchen or culinary experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
  • Strong understanding of food handling, prep, and kitchen safety practices.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and able to handle a fast-paced service with composure.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in what you put on the plate.
  • Passion for good food, growth, and being part of something bigger than just a job.

Founded by chef James Higgins, Da Bubs was built on fixing "everything wrong with a wing." We prep and remove the cartilage on every piece, use real ingredients (no seed oils here—only beef tallow), and serve food made with craft, care, and purpose.
