Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen operations and ensuring that all meals meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special dietary needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service and meal preparation.
  • Utilize knife skills for food preparation while following safety protocols.
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu items based on current food trends.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in fine dining or restaurant settings.
  • Background in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and catering services.
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen environment.

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
