Position Overview

Reporting to the VP of Quality and Education, the Director of Quality is responsible for overseeing development, monitoring and communicating the goals for the Agency's Quality Improvement Program. The Director shall plan, develop and implement new projects and program expansions as requested.

Essential Functions

  • Provides management and oversight to clinical review staff including annual performance reviews.
  • Identifies, recommends, and develops quality improvement initiatives for the agency. Implement and evaluate the Quality Improvement plans for all agency programs. Prepare and review quality data for analysis. Identifies opportunities for improvement based on Quality Improvement data. Reports quality data throughout the organization. Presents findings to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the QAPI committee; scheduling, minutes and presenting QAPI project data.
  • Presents QAPI data to staff quarterly following the Agency QAPI meeting.
  • Oversees the responses to the requests for medical record documentation from Medicare, Medicaid, or other third party, including but not limited to ADR, CERT and/or RAC audit request.
  • Collaborates with the VP of Quality and Education to support development, implementation and sustainability of clinical specialty projects/services, including but not limited to developing improvement plans in conjunction with the clinical team. Develops documents/forms, supplies, equipment, internal and external communication plans, and resource needs to support the program's growth.
  • Certifies medical records as delegated by the President/CEO.
  • Performs in-depth chart audits to insure quality documentation that establishes medical necessity and program compliance.
  • Promotes awareness of Quality Improvement projects among all staff by presentation of plan and results.
  • Implements approved clinical operational plans for specialty programs, consistent with strategic objectives and be accountable for the ongoing progress of the programs and services.
  • Develops, maintains and manages resources and timelines associated with all project start-up and implementation activities.
  • Develops project goals and objectives, data gathering, outcomes and ongoing data analysis and reporting.
  • Is accountable for assigned clinical projects and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the development and maintenance of project-specific data monitoring and collection to enable management of projects/programs.
  • Provides routine status reports and updates regarding the progress of programs to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assists in the development and review of clinical protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Works with the clinical and operational management team to develop, evaluate and implement new clinical products and services.

Other Job Functions

  • Demonstrates flexibility in role by accepting other duties as assigned for which qualified.
  • Serves as a member of the Agency's Management Team and participates in the development and implementation of overall policies, programs, objectives, and goals.
  • Represents the Agency and connects with other similar agencies and trade associations, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Participates on appropriate committees as requested.
  • Participates in the Administrator On-Call Rotation.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, accompanied by current New Hampshire nursing license, or compact state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Bachelor's in Nursing; Therapy or Social Work
  • Three to five years of quality improvement experience in healthcare, community health and hospital clinical practice.
  • OASIS Certification required.

Expected Hours of Work

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

This is NOT a remote work position but may be eligible for work from home as outlined in the Agency's guidelines. Evenings and weekend work may be required.
