Pay Range: $ $20.60 per hour

Summary:
The Teacher is a member of the teaching team who assists with care and education of an assigned group of children. The Teacher helps with planning, implementing curriculum, supervising children, communicating with parents, and providing a healthy, safe, and educational environment for children. The Teacher will be responsible for the observation and documentation of children's behavior to further guide the curriculum and will routinely share these observations of the children with their parents. Will establish and maintain relationships with parents through daily contacts, conferences, orientations, and meetings for the classroom assigned. Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 36 semester credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Immersive Education (EiEd), Early Childhood, or Special Education.
- (Option 1) 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours) in courses related directly to child care and/or child development up to age six
- (Option 2) One year (1560 hours or more) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours (9 quarter hours) in courses related directly to child care and/or child development up to age six
- (Option 3) Completion of a credentialing program approved by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
- One year of early childhood or grade school classroom experience.
- Ability to have a warm, supportive attitude toward children.
- Reliable and flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
- Ability to accept supervision in order to improve performance.

- Assists with the planning and implementation of an orientation meeting for parents.
- To ensure a well-run purposeful program responsive to participants needs.
- Assesses program supplies and materials needed before implementing activities.

- Uses the results of assessment to plan activities.
