Position Summary

As a Senior Technical Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in defining, prioritizing, and driving the development of cutting-edge technical solutions. You will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure product alignment with business objectives, technical feasibility, and user needs. Beyond driving product excellence, you will create an environment where empowered teams thrive, fostering ownership, innovation, and accountability across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Partner with clients to define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Lead the development and execution of product roadmaps, balancing customer demands, scalability, and technical constraints.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inspire innovation and competitive differentiation.

Agile Product Ownership

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, maintaining a well groomed pipeline of user stories, enablers, and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with Scrum teams; refine requirements; facilitate Agile ceremonies to ensure timely, high quality delivery.
  • Translate complex technical and business requirements into structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture to assess feasibility and define scalable, secure, and high performing solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact across business teams, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders; align expectations with business priorities and constraints.
  • Present milestones, progress updates, and risks in a transparent, structured manner to executive and customer audiences.

Technical Expertise & Solution Development

  • Contribute to system architecture discussions, API design/integrations, cloud adoption patterns, and data infrastructure topics.
  • Support teams in aligning with security standards, data privacy regulations, and software development best practices.
  • Collaborate on system scalability, performance tuning, observability, and continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for modern SDLC practices, DevOps culture, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

  • 5+ years as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or similar role in technology-driven environments.
  • Industry experience in digital sales, eCommerce, or online platforms (conversion optimization, customer journeys, performance analytics).
  • Demonstrated expertise with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and backlog management tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, including roadmap execution and risk management.
  • Familiarity with data security, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and system compliance.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with data pipelines, analytics platforms, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Background in cloud computing (AWS/Azure/GCP) and API integrations.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Familiarity with automotive technology, IoT, or connected vehicle ecosystems.
  • Understanding of machine learning and AI driven product development.
  • Awareness of FinOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud cost management strategies.

  • Product Leadership: Ability to define vision, prioritize value, and deliver outcomes across complex programs.

  • Systems Thinking: Balances near-term delivery with long-term scalability, security, and performance.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication tailored for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Effective in cross functional, multicultural settings with distributed/hybrid teams.
  • Execution: Structured planning, risk management, and metrics driven decision-making.

Travel

  • Occasional travel for client workshops, cross site collaboration, and stakeholder meetings; frequency depends on program needs.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Standard office environment: use typical office equipment and sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • May require periods of focused computer work and virtual collaboration across time zones.

Work Authorization

  • Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States that does not now, or in the future, require sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, F-1 OPT).
  • Proof of work authorization will be required upon hire.
  • Any change to work authorization status during employment must be disclosed immediately.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: USD 110,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
