We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service delivery across all departments including food preparation, front-of-house, and kitchen management.
- Support the General Manager in managing staffing schedules, interviewing candidates, and training new team members to foster a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Oversee food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
- Supervise shift management activities to ensure timely service, quality control, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with budgeting efforts by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures aligned with business goals.
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed to expand revenue streams.
- Foster a positive team environment through ongoing training & development initiatives focused on food service management, culinary skills, and customer service excellence.
- Ensure all staff adhere to food safety protocols and uphold high standards of hospitality management throughout their shifts.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
- Support bar operations including barista services or beverage management when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry; previous assistant manager experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations in casual dining or quick service environments.
- Strong familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food handling procedures, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, supervising teams, and conducting interviews.
- Background in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence in fast-paced settings like quick service or fine dining restaurants.
- Competency in shift management including scheduling, budgeting, and operational oversight.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining integrity in cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of catering services or banquet operations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
