Job Overview

We're looking for a motivated and driven Account Executive to own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closed business. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, running high-impact demos, closing new agencies, and representing SALT at industry events while working closely with leadership to scale a fast-growing SaaS company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and engage ideal customer profiles via email, phone, and social media
  • Manage both inbound and outbound sales opportunities with urgency and precision
  • Leverage prospecting tools to connect with decision-makers and qualify new business opportunities
  • Book and lead demos, and deliver compelling presentations to independent insurance agencies
  • Drive consistent follow-up and engagement through to closed deals
  • Represent SALT at sales conferences and industry events, building pipeline through in-person networking
  • Follow up with conference leads to convert interest into scheduled demos and closed business
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging and outreach strategies
  • Track activity and pipeline in HubSpot with accuracy and timeliness
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor movements, and market shifts
  • Provide customer and market feedback to leadership to continuously improve the product and sales approach

Experience

  • 1–3 years of SaaS sales experience, ideally in a full-cycle role (SDR-to-close or AE)
  • Strong ability to cold call, handle objections, and engage prospects effectively
  • Demonstrated success in running demos and closing new business
  • Experience representing a company at sales conferences, networking events, or trade shows
  • Experience using HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales enablement tools (or willingness to learn)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills—confident, clear, and persuasive
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and goal-driven environment

Bonus Points For:

  • Background in insurance, fintech, or SaaS sales
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment
  • Familiarity with Applied, Vertafore, or HawkSoft agency management systems
  • Prior success selling into regulated industries
