Business Development Manager

Wripple is looking for a Business Development Manager - Entertainment (Chief of Staff) for a maternity leave coverage opportunity in south Atlanta. This role is 40-hours per week with two days onsite at the company headquarters by the airport through June 2026 but could be extended for the right fit.
The team is responsible for designing and executing the commercial strategy and this role will have managerial oversight for all ongoing development pipeline initiatives, including both new partnerships and existing partner renewals. There is a key focus on entertainment pitching and negotiation. The role will manage highly sensitive material and regularly engage with VP and SVP leaders as part of the development process. Once a prospective partner enters a formal relationship with the program, this role will successfully oversee the partner's launch and eventual transition to the ongoing partner management team.
Primary Functions:
• Build compelling sales & development-related materials such as pitch decks, pipeline trackers, executive updates, etc. Lead internal partner development workstreams, overseeing the lanes of work from owners in product, tech, commercial, marketing, loyalty, and other development teams
• Operate day-to-day external relationship with the key partner prospect leads, using tact and problem solving to ensure needs are all addressed swiftly and with positive outcomes
• Assist in the development of the near- and long-term partner development strategy for each core partner, outlining the overarching enterprise roadmap which encompasses
• Develop and manage effective cross-functional meetings and processes to inform, educate and enroll various functional groups to support partner needs as applicable
What You Need to Succeed
• 4-6 years of relevant business experience with background in business development, corporate strategy, commercial strategy, M&A, project management, start-up / VC, finance
•
Proven experience pitching and negotiating entertainment deals
• Solution-oriented with a competitive drive and a firm desire to win
• Must be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with limited direction
• Strength in written communications and ability to produce clear and compelling executive briefs
• Strong quantitative, analytical, statistical, and conceptual thinking skills
• General familiarity with brand's products, systems, and operations (ex: data, sales CRM, event management)
• Strong client relationship skills and executive presence
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills required, with an emphasis on seeking input and understanding concerns of team members and other stakeholders
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints, and manage shifting priorities
• Positively resolves conflict and removes obstacles to change; creates an environment where established ways of thinking can be provocatively challenged and evolved
