Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certified
  • Previous experience in activities, recreation, or working with seniors preferred
  • Knowledge of recreational programming, resident engagement, and person-centered care
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead individual and group activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and able to work effectively with older adults, including those with cognitive impairments
  • Ability to document resident participation accurately and timely using the Point Click
  • Care (PCC)
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, electronic health records, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs and assist residents as needed
  • Must pass background check, health screening, and TB test (as required by state regulations)
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Other Job Description

Assisting patients with activities planned by the Activity Director. Some activity examples are bingo and dominos. If you are able to drive the company van for trips out, that would be a plus
