Job Overview - What You Will Do
The the SGO has an extraordinary opportunity for a expert, data-driven marketing and communications professional to join the team as the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications – Cause Marketing and Public Engagement. We are looking for an individual to bring their passion and excitement to our fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The successful incumbent will be adaptable, focused, and collaborative and will embrace change to ensure they meet their goals and the goals of the SGO and FWC.
The Senior Marketing & Communications Manager – Cause Marketing & Public Engagement serves as the strategic marketing and communications lead for the Foundation for Women's Cancer (FWC). This role drives the planning and execution of integrated marketing strategies that elevate public awareness, inspire donations, and promote participation in national cause-marketing campaigns, including current special events and awareness month initiatives.
In this role, you apply expertise in storytelling, campaign strategy, and audience engagement to connect diverse audiences — patients, survivors, caregivers, clinicians, donors, and the general public — to the Foundation's mission of advancing awareness, research, and education for all gynecologic cancers.
The Senior Manager collaborates with internal teams and external partners to enhance the society and foundation's visibility, promote key programs, and engage with stakeholders. By overseeing and implementing marketing and communications initiatives, this role will be a primary driver of revenue generation, product sales, and audience growth, as well as increasing awareness of the SGO/FWC, their missions, and key messages.
In addition, the Senior Manager will have responsibility for marketing and communications specific to fundraising initiatives, and donor and campaign support, will use data to analyze marketing campaigns/success and guide decision making, and will manage vendors and have oversite of production.
Requirements for Success
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit, cause marketing, or healthcare setting.
- Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across email, social media, digital, and print.
- Demonstrated experience leading national or large-scale awareness and fundraising campaigns.
- Strong writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to translate complex information into emotionally compelling messages.
- Experience with social media management, email marketing (Higher Logic/Informz, Constant Contact), and website CMS (WordPress).
- Familiarity with paid media and digital advertising concepts.
- Experience using analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, social media insights), as well as SEO and SEM to guide decisions.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience working with creative vendors and managing production budgets.
The work of the SGO is conducted primarily in a remote office environment with occasional requirements to be onsite for group meetings and events. Travel is required approximately 10 days per year.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience. The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $98,000 annually. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, and short- and long-term disability benefits; vacation time, sick time, 11 named holidays and 3 floating holidays, and parental leave.
