Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven individual with a growth mindset to support and grow our agency distribution channel. The ideal candidate will develop and execute high-touch sales and marketing strategies, working with select, high-quality agency and producer partners that know and understand trucking insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute channel strategy to achieve activity, growth, and retention targets
  • Identify, recruit and partner with independent agents/brokers focused in trucking
  • Manage activity pipeline of channel to drive results (new and existing)
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to agency/producer partners on our trucking products, underwriting appetite, submission requirements, and differentiators
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, risk profiles, coverage and pricing for the trucking/transportation segment; proactively identify niche or underserved opportunities
  • Collaborate with underwriting, product/technology, claims, and finance teams to ensure seamless servicing of channel needs
  • In collaboration with Sales Operations team, monitor and communicate metrics (e.g., submissions, binds, hit ratio, premium growth, retention, pipeline) and present on performance to senior leadership
  • Attend trucking and insurance industry events/conferences, round-tables and support promotional efforts on behalf of the company
  • Maintain a high level of professional presence and brand representation both in-person and online

Key Metrics / Performance Indicators

  • Agency Activity (submissions, quotes, binds)
  • Hit ratio/ Appetite Compliance
  • Premium growth (new business, endorsements) and profitability
  • Renewal Retention
  • Agency/Producer Engagement: # of active agencies/producers engaged, pipeline per agency/producer
  • Geographic market share growth within the trucking insurance segment (and rank within each Agency)

Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial insurance experience (property & casualty experience preferred), with proven success working with an outsourced distribution channel
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding measurable performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of trucking insurance products preferred, (products, coverage, underwriting criteria, terminology)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with individuals in all areas of an insurance agency and internal stakeholders
  • Self-starter comfortable with travel and "working from the road" when needed
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) for tracking metrics and performance
