JOB OVERVIEW

Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, one of San Diego's oldest and most prestigious downtown law firms, is seeking an Accounting Clerk. If you have a solid background in accounting and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we'd love to connect.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup and maintain Legal electronic billing vendors for new incoming matters as needed
  • Coordinate the electronic billing process regarding deductions and submissions of appeals to third-party billing platforms
  • Effectively interact and communicate with Attorneys, Paralegals, Secretaries, and the Accounting Team
  • Prioritize, anticipate work needs and strong attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented with a customer service approach and attitude to problem-solving and support
  • Willingness to learn and flexibility to adapt to changes
  • Provide department team support with administrative duties as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Basic analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and MS Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or 2 years of Accounting experience preferred
  • Aderant (or equivalent) legal accounting software and BillBlast experience is a plus

Anticipated Base Salary: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00
