SUMMARY

A Logistics OEM operations and customer service representative responsible for monitoring and maintaining all OEM plant, PDC, and distribution requirements by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform as the primary company operational contact to OEM plants, OEM part distribution centers (i.e., PDCs), and our external Distribution warehouses.
• Daily, using OEM EDI transmissions, orders, and other electronic communication, review, enter, edit, and monitor as required OEM plant orders in our ERP system.
• Monitor, review, and answer to OEM plant requirements multiple times daily through their on-line systems.  This will may include a percentage of each year's Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, per OEM specific requirements.
• Monitor and maintain OEM plant container inventory. This includes making arrangements for additional containers, rack repairs, and reducing excess container inventory.  Use OEM on-line applications, as applicable, for the proceeding tasks, and to reconcile inventory.  
• Report, monitor, track and dispute (as appropriate) all OEM customer ratings in their on-line applications. Daily entry of Promised Ship dates as applicable. Investigate, and ensure prompt resolution corrective actions are completed by the appropriate personnel, for any issues that arise daily with subject shipments.
• Monitor, and review, OEM performance metrics by accessing their on-line applications. Identify problems and expedite resolutions when not meeting customer requirements or special needs of OEM customers.
• Responsible for all OEM plant initializations, and other special account tasks, at year end.
• Work with Engineering, Quality Assurance and OEM customers to set up new product demands.
• Be a 24/7 phone contact with OEM plants per contract requirement. With the ability to take action as required (e.g., expedites).
• Daily oversight of the external warehouses. For each warehouse, monitor daily orders, take (or have taken) all needed processing steps to release orders, ship orders, and receive resupply orders.
• Use ERP system to develop accurate distribution inventory plans by external warehouse location. Make decisions on appropriate stocking/inventory levels and generate resupply orders. Coordinate execution of resupply orders with Traffic for timeliness and cost.
• Monitor each external warehouse's inventory accuracy and generate necessary adjustments.
• Review unpickable items by warehouse and move orders as needed based on scheduled receipt of trucks and customer service requirements.
• Maintain communication with all external warehouses. Resolve problems/concerns with their personnel and Management as needed. This includes providing SOP training, and troubleshooting computer problems, for facilities that may be using our ERP system.
• Responsible for setting and maintaining all needed ERP parameters for external warehouses, including calendar related special maintenance, as needed.
• Assure inventory turns are acceptable by moving product, backhauling product, moving orders or contacting sales in an area to help sell overstock. Balance inventory levels at each warehouse while ensuring obsolete and damaged product is kept to a minimum.
• Monitor and distribution warehouse performance for each location assigning corrective actions as appropriate.
• Provide input to management on opening/closing warehouses based on knowledge of performance and sales volume.
• Develop and maintain instructions and procedures for external warehouses when necessary.
• Provides costs to management for handling, storage, etc., on backhauls/recalls.
• Be available to travels to external warehouses as needed, instruct on SOPs, and take inventory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred; or two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
