Washington, Pennsylvania, United States Washington Wild Things Full time

The Washington Wild Things, a proud member of the MLB Partner Frontier League, are seeking a dynamic and driven Director of Sponsorship Sales to lead all corporate partnership initiatives for the team and events at EQT Park, a 3,200-seat multi-use stadium located just south of Pittsburgh, PA.

EQT Park hosts 51 Wild Things home games each season (mid-May through Labor Day), along with hundreds of community events, fundraisers, concerts, college games, and festivals. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in shaping the growth of one of the region's most active sports and entertainment destinations.

Position Overview

The Director of Sponsorship Sales will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sponsorship strategies that drive revenue, strengthen community partnerships, and elevate the fan experience. This individual will oversee all aspects of sponsorship sales, from prospecting and proposal creation to activation and renewal, while managing inventory and maintaining detailed reporting for the organization.

This role reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all sponsorship sales efforts for the Washington Wild Things and EQT Park events.
  • Design and present creative, customized sponsorship packages that enhance brand engagement and in-venue experience.
  • Drive revenue growth across local, regional, and national markets through in-stadium, digital, and media-based assets (radio, TV, web, and social).
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship sales plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Maintain detailed tracking and reporting of sponsorship performance (monthly and year-to-date).
  • Create and implement new business development programs and qualified lead pipelines.
  • Manage and expand the sponsorship sales inventory, with an overall department target of $1.2M annually and a personal sales goal of $250K+.
  • Build and nurture long-term partnerships with brands that share our commitment to community and entertainment.
  • Research and visit other teams and venues to identify new ideas and best practices for sponsorship activation.

Qualifications

  • Proven success (5+ years preferred) in sponsorship, corporate partnerships, or B2B sales, ideally in sports, entertainment, or media.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to design and deliver innovative partnership solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and reporting abilities; experience with CRM systems a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Why Join the Wild Things?

  • Be part of a growing MLB Partner League organization with deep community ties.
  • Collaborate with a passionate front office team committed to excellence on and off the field.
  • Work in a vibrant sports and entertainment venue that hosts hundreds of events each year.
  • Competitive compensation structure with commission opportunities.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
