Currently looking for a highly organized individual to join our boutique law firm in Mason, Ohio as an administrative assistant/legal secretary.

Set weekday schedule, free parking, and potential for full time employee benefits available.

Our Legal Assistantswork in a law firm environment and are responsible for assisting with inbound calls, making outbound calls for payment of receivables, and general administrative duties relative to our ongoing legal practice from the onset of litigation through the collection and recovery process. If you have strong customer service skills and are detail oriented, please apply for consideration.

Responsibilities/Functions:

  • Word Processing fuctions for multi-lawyer law firm
  • Managing inbound/outbound calls for processing of customer payment and payment resolution
  • Preparation of form correspondence and pleadings to assist in litigation/garnishment proceedings
  • Electronic filing of court pleadings in various courts in Ohio and Kentucky
  • Contacting attorneys/courts/employers regarding litigation matters
  • Search and review of public records/industry specific databases to obtain address, employment and litigation information as necessary
  • Handle files in accordance with industry stands, following scripts and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Handle client, consumer and court contact with professionalism on a recorded and monitored phone line.
  • Additional duties as requested.

Schedule: 9:00 am to 430 pm, Monday through Friday (no evenings or weekends)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant legal assistant/administrative experience
  • Knowledge of basic computer operation and internet research
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
