The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing sections of construction estimates including the soliciting and evaluation of subcontractor bids and scopes of work, preparing quantity take-offs, reviewing project plans and specifications for all categories of work. The Senior Estimator must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities include:
Responsible for posting of addendaCollaborate with the Estimating team to resolve request for informationManage vendor solicitationCoordinate initial Subcontractor contactsLead quantity take-offsUpdating or posting of plans and specifications (in-house and in online subcontractor planroom)Generate and manage tab sheets Create tab sheets for subcontractor quotes and bid leveling that encompass complete scope of workManage pricing as directed, specifically self-performWork with the Project Director and project team to create bid packaging documentsWriting of scopes of workMinimum Requirements
5+ years of industry experience in estimating and/or preconstructionKnowledge and efficiency in construction industry softwareDesire to learn and growStrong math/accounting skillsAbility to meet critical deadlinesFunctions effectively as part of a teamDependabilityAbility to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all timesAbility to understand and follow directionsGood time management skills and organizational skillsAbility to read drawings and specificationsAbility to accurately obtain quantitiesBachelor's Degree- Construction Management, Engineering, Finance or equivalent
