Our client, a leading electrical construction contractor, is seeking an experienced
Senior Electrical Construction Estimator
to join their growing Data Center division. This
hybrid role
offers a mix of office, on-site, and remote work, providing flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with project teams.

In this position, you'll lead the estimating and preconstruction process for large-scale electrical projects valued between
$20M–$200M
, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with industry standards. You'll oversee the full estimating cycle—from reviewing construction plans and specifications to developing comprehensive cost proposals and coordinating with vendors. The role also involves mentoring team members, implementing best practices, and serving as a primary contact for clients and partners throughout the proposal process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for large electrical construction projects (plans/spec, design-build, design-assist, early budgets).
  • Lead and coordinate all estimating efforts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
  • Oversee proposal review and documentation for management approval.
  • Support project start-up, budgeting, and change-order pricing as needed.
  • Develop and implement estimating standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years
    of experience in electrical construction estimating, cost control, or engineering.
  • Proven expertise with
    data centers
    and
    Accubid
    estimating software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in
    Excel
    , project management tools, and construction estimating software.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand cost/schedule impacts.
  • Experience with
    design-build
    or
    hyperscale data center
    projects is highly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to work in a
    hybrid environment
    —in-office, on-site, and travel as needed.
