Position: Vehicle Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Reports To: Ops Manager

Description

The Vehicle Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for the hands-on vehicle receipt, inventory reconciliation, and overall handling of all vehicles incoming and outgoing from the FREC location. A variety of computer applications and software is utilized and updated via data entry and report analysis.

Essential job functions

  • Organize and direct Porter and Shipping operations on daily basis
  • Key contact person for all vehicles incoming & outgoing of the facility, representing Penske Vehicle Services.
  • Serve as point of contact for all notifications of receipt.
  • Meet transporters and physically receive incoming vehicles, handoff keys & paperwork to transporters for outgoing vehicles.
  • Inspect incoming & outgoing vehicles and complete necessary forms/ inspection reports.
  • Responsible for paperwork management & appropriate record retention.
  • Responsible for key management to include appropriate receipt & timely, accurate distribution.
  • Parking Lot management to ensure maximum utilization of space & confidentiality enforcement.
  • Updating vehicle location and general information in computerized asset management system.
  • Park new vehicles according to parking lot guidelines & stage all vehicles for outgoing shipments.
  • Handle after hours shipping or receiving special requests from customers.

Qualifications

  • Associate�s degree preferred
  • Must be a high energy individual with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Driving record which meets company�s acceptable standards
  • Have and maintain valid driver�s license
  • Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead Porter and Shipping departments
  • Job will entail outdoor duties
  • Overall computer proficiency including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Maintain a working knowledge of client functions from an operational perspective with critical awareness of changing confidentiality requirements
  • Focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Flexible in supporting operational team in various functions at any given time
