Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an energetic and results oriented Quality Production Specialist for the Fabrication Core Quality team in Auburn, Washington.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable and competent professional who possesses the ability to work well across diverse groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries. The candidate will be part of the core Quality Planning group that will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the incorporation of inspections into Fabrication's Manufacturing Build Plans.

The Quality Planning role is relatively new to Fabrication, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable developing processes, learning new skills and systems. The ideal candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and maintains inspection operations in manufacturing build plans used to conform as-built configuration

  • Reviews and implements Quality planning changes in the manufacturing build plans to support Quality Management System Requirements

  • Supports the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely incorporation of changes to the manufacturing build plans

  • Review and audit released Manufacturing Build Plans to identify and correct non-compliant inspection processes

  • Align with Manufacturing Planners to improve work instruction quality by developing and managing standard inspection notes

  • Collaborates with Quality Engineering to develop inspection concepts and strategies to support business objectives

  • Supports the investigation and resolution of manufacturing related issues specifically related to the inspection processes

  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of manufacturing plans, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, or government regulations

  • Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements

  • Learns Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry

  • 3+ years of experience in reading and interpretation of Engineering / Drawings

  • 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action

  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 3+ years of experience working within large cross-functional team set-up

  • Ability to learn new systems and manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience as ME Planner and or Quality Planner

  • 3+ years of experience working within Boeing Production System
