The Tea House on Los Rios is a fine-dining, full-service restaurant located in a restored cottage in the oldest neighborhood in California. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with an unforgettable experience - from beautiful ambiance, personalized service, and exquisite cuisine.
We are seeking a Culinary Manager to join our restaurant group. The manager will oversee kitchen operations, catering, banquets and events.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee daily operation of all kitchen operations.
- Creating and executing seasonal and holiday menus.
- Organizing and executing multiple events on a daily basis.
- Purchasing, inventory and maintaining food cost.
- Compliance and enforcement of health and safety standards.
- Hiring, motivating and developing a strong kitchen team.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure quality and service levels are upheld
Skills:
- 5-10 years managing a fine dining restaurant, hotel or similar role.
- Formal culinary education or relevant experience required
- In depth knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
- Proven experience in off site catering and large scale events.
- Solid understanding of financial management.
- Effective communication skills with team members, management and vendors.
- Time management, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85, $100,000.00 per year
