Weston & Sampson is seeking a dependable Cross Connection Technician with 1-3 years of experience in the Norwich, Connecticut area. Certification in other states is a plus. Weston & Sampson provides all job required tools and equipment, including a company vehicle.



What you'll do:

The goal of an isolation cross-connection control survey is to determine if both the private and public water systems are properly protected, and also to define the hazard level the facility represents to the public water supply. 

What you will bring:

  • Full-time position may require various shifts and/or flexible hours
  • Travel to various communities (approximately 4 hours round trip)
  • Overnights for certain community testing may be required
  • Expected to participate in the on-call rotation, occasional overtime, holidays, weekends and nights.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Plumbing knowledge/experience a plus, but not required
  • Cross Connection Survey license preferred, required to obtain within one year of start, class & license paid by company
  • Ability to retain and abide by state and local regulations
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's license 

Salary:

Dependent on years of experience and licensing. 

We have per diem, part-time or full-time positions available.

Pay Range: $ $35.00 per hour
