Join Our Team as an Assembler/Tester 1 (Vacuum Braze) on 2nd Shift Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our assembly and testing team. As a key member, you will contribute to the production of high-quality components in a dynamic environment. Basic Qualifications: High School Education or GED equivalency. Key Responsibilities: Assemble parts following process sheet/print instructions with precision. Conduct necessary electrical, mechanical, and magnetic tests, including dielectric and hipot testing. Perform in-process hi-pot testing and basic setup of fixtures. Utilize vapor blasting as needed and conduct inventory counts and verifications. Assist with proto-type or first-time builds under the guidance of experienced team members. Support Engineering and the team in developing and improving layout procedures and process documentation. Review material expiration dates to ensure compliance with current standards. Proactively seek ways to enhance the efficiency and quality of production while maintaining good housekeeping practices. Adhere to safety protocols by using appropriate PPE and safety equipment. Cross-train colleagues based on your expertise and knowledge. Accurately complete all required written and electronic labor tracking documentation. Communicate any issues to the appropriate resources and keep shift operators informed on special operational problems. Collaboration is key—work closely with team members to ensure everyone is up-to-date on processes and challenges. Participate and contribute actively to team initiatives. Embrace and follow GE Leadership behaviors. Perform additional duties as required. Desired Skills: Experience with assembly, soldering, and electronics manufacturing is preferred. Comfortable working with various chemicals and gas compounds. Previous experience in a self-directed team environment. Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Humble and eager to learn—bringing a respectful and adaptable attitude. Transparent communication style—able to share critical information and contribute constructively. Focused and quick learner who strategically prioritizes tasks. Demonstrates strong leadership qualities including communication, decision-making, and collaboration. Able to identify problems and implement effective solutions with an analytical mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for data analysis (Word, Excel, Oracle, etc.). Familiarity with 5S principles and lean manufacturing practices is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to use hands and fingers in repetitive tasks continuously. Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, and climbing may be required. Primarily sedentary work with the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and push/pull up to 22 lbs occasionally.
