Job Description Summary Job Description Basic Qualifications: High School Education or GED equivalency. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Assemble parts accurately according to process sheets or print instructions. Conduct electrical, mechanical, and magnetic testing as necessary, such as dielectric, meggar, and hipot testing. Perform in-process hi-pot testing and set up basic fixtures. Carry out vapor blasting when required and assist in inventory counts and verification. Support prototype or first-time builds under guidance from experienced team members. Collaborate with Engineering and Team to enhance the layout procedures and process sheets. Monitor the expiration dates of materials to guarantee compliance and quality. Pursue improvements in efficiency and product quality, ensuring good housekeeping practices. Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and adhere to all safety protocols. Cross-train team members when appropriate based on personal competence. Maintain thorough compliance with labor tracking documentation and promptly communicate issues to the appropriate personnel. Keep shift operators updated on special operational or setup issues. Engage with team members to share information about new processes and address issues collaboratively. Actively participate in and support team initiatives. Uphold GE Leadership behaviors and values. Perform any additional duties as assigned. Desired Qualifications: Previous assembly, soldering, or electronics manufacturing experience is preferred. Comfortable working with a variety of chemicals and gas compounds. Experience in self-directed team environments. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate in a team setting. Possess a humble mindset: respectful, agile, and eager to learn. Transparent communicator: shares critical information and provides constructive feedback. Focus-oriented: quick learner who can prioritize tasks efficiently. Ability to use Microsoft applications for data analysis. Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Physical Demands: Continuous use of hands and fingers is required. Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, and balancing. Ability to continuously sit, lift up to 20 lbs occasionally, and push/pull up to 22 lbs. Additional Information: The pay for this position is $18/hour, and it is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance. This position will close on 8/30/25.
