Note: This is a part-time opportunity. Each tutoring session is 1 hour in length. Tutors are responsible for commuting to sessions (if applicable) and logging attendance after each session. A guaranteed number of hours is not promised, as scheduling is based on each tutor's availability and willingness to onboard with as many students as they choose.

We are seeking a patient, engaging, and dependable Online Geometry Tutor to work with a high school student enrolled in the AICE program. The student needs support with keeping up with assignments and reinforcing Geometry concepts covered in class.

Schedule:

  • Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
  • Time: 4pm - 6:30pm
  • Location: Online
  • Rate: $24/hour
  • Start Date: ASAP

About the Student:

She is bright and motivated but can be a little shy around new tutors, so we're looking for someone who can build trust, provide structure, and create a comfortable learning environment where she feels supported and confident.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience with elementary students
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude
  • Dependable transportation and punctuality
  • Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
  • Background check required before placement

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to enhance understanding of subject matter.

  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and growth.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and resources.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance the educational experience.
  • Previous experience in preschool or early childhood settings is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students and parents.
