Part-Time Operations & Fundraising Director
Location: Remote (with occasional travel opportunities)
Compensation: $30,000/year (Part-Time)
Organization: Smile Outreach International
About Us
Smile Outreach International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, high-quality dental care to underserved communities around the world. Our mission projects currently serve areas across Mexico, Central America, and beyond, bringing hope, health, and dignity to those without access to dental care.
We're expanding our impact and seeking a detail-oriented, proactive professional to bring structure, organization, and consistency to our operations and fundraising efforts. This is a mission-driven role for someone who loves creating systems, managing relationships, and ensuring that every donor, partner, and project receives thoughtful attention and follow-through.
About the Role
The Operations & Fundraising Director will be responsible for overseeing the organizational, administrative, and fundraising functions that keep Smile Outreach International thriving. You'll ensure donations are tracked, communications are timely, and campaigns are well-executed. You'll also lead efforts to grow our donor base, strengthen partnerships, and increase visibility through consistent marketing and social media presence.
This role is ideal for someone who loves turning vision into action—someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and meaningful results.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Create and maintain systems to streamline internal operations, donation tracking, and reporting.
- Oversee donor database management and ensure all records are current and accurate.
- Support project logistics and communication between mission teams, volunteers, and partners.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the board, coordinating quarterly meetings, sharing updates, completion of action items and ensuring smooth communication between board members and the organization
Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Develop and implement fundraising campaigns and donor retention strategies.
- Ensure consistent communication with donors, including acknowledgments, updates, and impact stories.
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities, sponsorships, and partnerships.
Marketing & Communications
- Manage social media and email marketing to promote ongoing projects and mission impact.
- Coordinate storytelling, visual content, and community engagement initiatives.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all public platforms.
Strategic Execution
- Translate organizational goals into clear action plans with measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure initiatives are completed on time and within scope.
- Bring clarity, organization, and follow-through to all key operational areas.
Ideal Candidate
You're someone who loves systems, structure, and strategy—but leads with heart. You're dependable, proactive, and deeply motivated by mission-driven work. You thrive in an environment where you can create order, streamline communication, and strengthen connections with donors and partners.
You might describe yourself as:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong in written and verbal communication.
- Skilled at follow-up and maintaining relationships.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities independently.
- Experienced in nonprofit operations, fundraising, or marketing.
- Passionate about humanitarian work and global service initiatives.
Commitment & Compensation
- Part-time position, approximately 15–20 hours per week.
- $30,000/year, with opportunity for growth as the organization expands.
- Flexible schedule with remote work options.
- Occasional travel opportunities to participate in mission projects or team gatherings.
