Hartford, Connecticut, United States ReadyCT Full time $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Location:
350 Church Street, 10th Floor, Hartford, CT 06103

Salary:
$60,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience)

Help shape the future of K–12 robotics education across Connecticut by designing and delivering high-impact, real-world learning that connects classrooms to emerging technologies, inspires the next generation of innovators, and ensures every student—regardless of background—has access to meaningful STEM opportunities.

WHO WE ARE
:

ReadyCT is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing academic excellence and career-connected learning for all Connecticut public school students.

We design and deliver innovative career readiness programs that intentionally connect K–12 education with the employers who will one day welcome graduates into the workforce—wherever their postsecondary paths may lead (college, credentialing, military, sector-based training, or direct entry into employment). Last year alone, more than 230 Connecticut businesses of all sizes and sectors partnered with us to help shape and strengthen these programs.

In addition to building and sustaining high-impact partnerships between schools, districts, and employers, ReadyCT champions policies that promote access, equity, and workforce alignment from a K–12 perspective. As an affiliate of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA)—the state's largest business member organization—ReadyCT leverages this powerful network to amplify its mission and expand opportunity for all students.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're looking for a robotics curriculum specialist to join ReadyCT's high-energy, forward-thinking team. In this role, you'll report to and work closely with the director of STEM initiatives to bring engaging, future-focused learning experiences to K–12 students across Connecticut.

If you love blending creativity with strategy—and helping educators feel confident and inspired in the classroom—this role is the perfect fit. You'll design, curate, and refine robotics curriculum that reflects real-world industry needs and classroom realities, guided by data, educator feedback, and evolving program goals.

You'll also lead train-the-trainer workshops, coaching educators to deliver robotics instruction with both rigor and enthusiasm. Beyond curriculum development, you'll collaborate with schools, employers, and state partners to create hands-on, career-connected learning experiences that prepare students for success in Connecticut's high-growth industries, especially advanced manufacturing and technology.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
Are you passionate about helping students see the real-world power of robotics and STEM? Have you designed or adapted curricula that connect classroom learning to future careers? Do you enjoy supporting educators as they bring new content to life? If so, this role may be a perfect fit.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates experience developing K–12 STEM or robotics curriculum that integrates hands-on, industry-relevant skills and technologies.
  • Can design multi-modal, standards-aligned lesson plans that engage diverse learners.
  • Excels at facilitating professional learning, from teacher workshops to "train-the-trainer" sessions.
  • Is proficient with educational technology, robotics platforms, and coding tools (experience with FIRST or VEX robotics programs is preferred).
  • Uses data to drive improvement, adjusting curriculum and implementation based on participation and outcomes.
  • Has strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and industry partners.
  • Brings experience as a classroom teacher or instructional coach (preferred, not required).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Curriculum Design & Integration

  • Design, adapt, and enhance robotics curricula (e.g., FIRST and VEX) for use in K–12 classrooms.
  • Create integrated modules connecting automation, coding, and 3D modeling to real-world careers in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and technology.

Educator Support & Training

  • Lead high-quality professional learning experiences, including workshops and ongoing coaching to ensure strong program implementation.
  • Build educator capacity to confidently deliver robotics instruction that inspires curiosity and career exploration.

Program Implementation & Evaluation

  • Oversee and evaluate curriculum integration pilots across multiple districts each year, measuring engagement and long-term outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze feedback and performance data to continuously refine content and instructional strategies.

ReadyCT offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, generous paid time off, and meaningful opportunities for professional growth. Most importantly, you'll have the chance to make a lasting impact on students and communities across Connecticut.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences who share our commitment to equity and to expanding career-connected learning opportunities for every student.

ReadyCT is an equal opportunity employer.
