Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Programs, the Programs Specialties Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the day-to-day activities of the Lomi program and the achievement of program goals and objectives with successful outcomes; provides culturally appropriate outreach to the Native Hawaiian community; provides recommendations in planning, developing, and implementing operational work-plans based on grant objectives. Serves as a "bridge" between health care consumers and providers to improve health and promotes a healthy lifestyle. Incumbent works together with staff within KOM to meet the client's needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the facilitation of the Lomi Program.
Improves access to Native Hawaiian traditional healing services.
Collaborates and works with Traditional Healers providing services.
Process and monitor documents relating to client/program records.
Maintain grant year contracts with lomi practitioners.
Annually updates lomi practitioners credentials and insurance.
Conduct annual visits to our lomi practitioners offices.
Maintains program files and client records in accordance with Ke Ola Mamo (KOM) guidelines.
Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual district site reports.
Provides recommendations to the Director of Programs in planning, developing, designing, and implementing operational work-plans.
Provides support and assistance to outreach workers as needed.
Promotes community networking and participation in the Lomi Program.
Provides lomi information/education to the community.
Receives and process' lomi applications.
Process' invoices and SOAP notes submitted by LMT's.
Submit patient satisfaction surveys to clients.
Monitors client progress to assure appropriate health care services as outlined in the client's individual care plan (ICP).
Assures the appropriateness, accuracy and confidentiality of record keeping.
Maintains frequent communication with site staff; identify problems and provides for recommendations as needed to the Programs Manager.
Responsible for the collection of service fees and submitting to Fiscal Department as outlined in Fiscal policy.
Works with the Director of Programs and Traditional Healers to achieve program goals.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in staff meetings.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Programs Manager.
Routinely uses KOM database and other computer systems including internet, e-mail, word processing, and electronic health records (EHR).
May collect data to help identify community health needs.
Attends ongoing training.
Provides monthly status report.
Performs other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
Open and close office as needed.
Working Conditions
Indoors and outdoors, under a variety of conditions in the community.
Working Hours
Normally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required, depending on the requirement of position duties and responsibilities.
Equipment Use
Computer, copier, telephone, fax machine, other standard office equipment, personal/company vehicle, other equipment as needed.
Mental Demands
Duties require observing and reporting client health care needs and services; dealing courteously and tactfully with clients, service providers, coworkers, and Native Hawaiian Community; working under occasional pressure and deadlines; following instruction in company policies and procedures; complying with KOM Code of Ethics.
Communication Demands
Requires preparation of oral and written reports, memos, and other communications in a clear, concise, and professional manner; taking accurate phone messages; carrying out written and verbal instructions; giving instructions to others.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of Native Hawaiian cultural values and practices in the delivery of health care services.
Knowledge of community, health and human service agency resources.
Working knowledge of KOM policies, procedures and programs inclusive of charts, forms, data system, software and documents.
Excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate service provisions for clients.
Ability to empower, nurture and provide training to direct service staff.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.
Ability to maintain composure under time restraints and when serving clients.
Ability to maintain accountability and confidentiality.
Other Requirements
Have a valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle for work with proof of adequate automobile insurance coverage. May use company vehicle for business of the organization.
Driver's abstract without any moving violations within the past three (3) years.
Valid COVID vaccination card at the time of application.
Valid tuberculosis clearance within one (1) year.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Education and Experience Requirements
Diploma from an accredited high school with one (1) year training experience from a community, technical school or other demonstrated course work afforded through staff development workshops, training or development.
One (1) year experience in health care, education, or social/human service position.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57, $69,000.00 per year
