About the Role Are you passionate about fitness, leadership, and helping others reach their full potential? Gold's Gym is seeking motivated and ambitious individuals to join our Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program — a hands-on, structured development pathway designed to prepare you for promotion into a Management role. The opportunity for advancement into a club management role could be either in a local location or alternate location within the state of Florida within the owner's franchise territory. 

This immersive program combines on-the-job training, leadership coaching, and real-world experience across all areas of gym operations. You'll learn what it takes to lead a high-performing fitness facility — from sales and operations to member engagement and team leadership.

Program Overview
*Learn the core responsibilities of the gym manager role
*Shadow the General Manager and department heads in sales, training, and operations
*Master the Gold's Gym mission, customer experience standards, and in club wellness programs
*Train on POS, CRM, payroll, and reporting systems
*Master and train staff on company SOPs, compliance, and HR policies
*Learn how the gym drives revenue through memberships, promotions, and retail sales
*Track KPIs: lead conversion, walk-ins, and membership mix
*Participate in sales meetings and role-play objection handling
*Under GM Supervision, manage day-to-day club operations including opening/closing, scheduling, and safety
*Coordinate with vendors, manage inventory, and support events
*Lead by example to ensure smooth, efficient facility management
*Learn to recruit, train, and manage staff
*Build team schedules and monitor labor costs
*Conduct performance reviews and handle member/staff conflicts professionally
*Develop retention strategies and manage member relations
*Participate in community outreach and corporate wellness events
*Support gym marketing and engagement campaigns
*Learn financial fundamentals: P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting
*Reach the milestone of running the gym independently with minimal GM oversight
*Present a 90-day action plan for operations and growth

Qualifications
*1-3 Years management experience of an organization or team within an organization--wellness, retail, hospitality or fitness environment preferred
*High school diploma, college experience and/or degree a plus
*Ability to thrive in sometimes hectic environments
*Strong interest in fitness, wellness, and leadership
*Prior experience in sales, customer service, or fitness preferred
*Excellent communication and organizational skills
*Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
*Flexible schedule, this is a full time role and will require some nights and weekends 
*Willingness to relocate to another gym location 
*Authorized to work in the US and pass a background check
