STIHL Southeast, distributor of STIHL outdoor power equipment, has an opening for a Dealer Support Specialist to join the field sales team in Georgia & Alabama. This role primarily supports STIHL Territory Managers and STIHL Dealers, including new dealer set up, existing dealer relations, merchandising support, and other support duties as required. The DSS role reports to the District Manager for GA/AL within the STIHL Southeast outside sales team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assists with new dealer setups by assembling equipment, basic merchandising, some early new dealer training.
  • Aids existing dealer accounts by attending open houses/customer events, executing minor display expansions and resets, and occasional basic merchandising.
  • Able to provide basic product training to new dealer employees as needed and answer basic technical questions.
  • Work with District Manager on professional growth opportunities.

Qualified Candidates will have/will be:

  • Working knowledge of outdoor power equipment.
  • Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers.
  • Effective time management.
  • Ability to manage travel expenses.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Clean driving record and experience pulling trailers with a pick up truck.

Ideal Candidates will also have:

  • STIHL sales experience/Outdoor power equipment sales experience.
