Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
  • Operate POS systems such as SILVERWARE, for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas.
  • Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth service flow during peak hours and special events like banquets or catering.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping related to food production, safety logs, and staffing schedules.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, menu planning, and implementing new culinary initiatives.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, training, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision within quick service, casual dining, or fine dining establishments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety protocols, and hospitality management best practices.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as SILVERWARE; cash handling experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing, and development.
  • Ability to manage inventory control efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Previous experience in managing budgets, shift scheduling, and food production processes.
  • Culinary background with experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus.
