About the Role
  • Job Title: QA Engineer (Tsys Experience mandatory)
  • Location: Richmond, 23238
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test cases for card transaction workflows, including tap, chip, swipe, and manual entry.
  • Validate ISO 8583/8587 message formats and ensure accurate end-to-end transaction flow.
  • Perform integration and functional testing for TSYS and related payment services.
  • Use Postman for API validation and Splunk for log analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain detailed test execution reports and defect logs.
  • Collaborate with developers and analysts to validate business and technical requirements.
  • Support regression testing and ensure all card payment interfaces perform reliably.
Minimum Qualifications
  • QA or Testing experience in Card Payments domain.
  • Hands-on experience with TSYS and ISO 8583 message structure.
  • Strong understanding of card workflows and entry modes (contactless, EMV, magnetic stripe, manual entry).
  • Experience using Postman for API testing and Splunk for log monitoring/debugging.
  • Ability to design and write clear, structured test cases and execution scripts.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with authorization systems, payment gateways, or network integrations (Visa, Mastercard, Discover).
  • Exposure to automation frameworks or scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD testing environments.

Position Information

Salary and Other Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $ $49.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
