Sr Software Tester/QA Analyst
for our premier client in
Richmond, Virginia

Education And Experience »

  • ISEB / ISTQB qualification in Software Testing to practitioner level or equivalent qualifications or experience.
  • Proficiency in implementing and executing testing strategies, plans, methodologies and frameworks in support of Agile development
  • Experience of using test management/ Version Control tools (Azure DevOps/ TFS/ Git) and extensive experience writing test cases in Gherkin.
  • Experience in writing Complex SQL queries for Creating and Maintenance of test data to support automation testing and Business users.
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, XML.
  • Knowledge of programming language e.g. Ruby, Java OR Python.
  • Experience working in Window and Linux environment.
  • Experience in reviewing metrics to identify areas for process optimization, Conduct dry run/smoke testing to ensure scripts readiness and Execute automation scripts.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in both verbal and written communications.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with engineering teams and solving complex system problems together.

What You'll Do
Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from the Business Analyst to understand the project, analyze requirements, identify gaps in the requirements, skill sets required and provide LOE.
  • Provide Test Scenarios/ Cases walkthrough and seek customer sign off inclusive of Prioritization of Test cases, Optimization options.
  • A thorough understanding of risk-based testing.
  • Test the defect and update the status, conduct root cause analysis of the defects logged and assist developers in recreating bugs.
