We are seeking a Civil / Structural Engineering Leader to join our dynamic team. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about managing a talented engineering and design team. The civil / structural team plays a pivotal role in providing solutions for Capital projects across all AdvanSix plant sites. As an engineering leader, you will guide the team to deliver high-quality results while ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Manage and support a team of Civil / Structural engineers and designers to ensure the successful delivery of civil and structural engineering solutions for capital projects.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop resource plans and timelines to meet project objectives and deadlines, optimizing both in-house and contract resources.
  • Ensure Quality and Efficiency: Monitor the quality, schedule, and productivity of engineering and design work, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Lead design reviews, ensuring alignment and accuracy with all stakeholders, including mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
  • Promote Excellence in Design: Champion QA/QC requirements for engineering, design, and installation work, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all phases of the project.
  • Support Project Scoping: Provide input into project scoping to ensure accurate cost estimation and efficient use of materials and methods.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Quickly assess issues and provide rapid solutions to any CSA-related challenges that may arise during project execution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (PA and VA)
  • 10+ Years of experience at a chemical plant or similar industry

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of proven success in leading and managing engineering teams.
  • AutoCAD & CADWorx Proficiency: Experience with 2D, 3D AutoCAD and CADWorx (3D plant design software).
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a focus on clarity and teamwork.
